چکیده
Optimal reactive power dispatch (ORPD) has a crucial impact to enhance safety, reliability, and economical operation of the electric system. ORPD is non-linear, non-convex mixed variable problem, which been solved by many researchers via different meta-heuristic algorithms during last decade. In this work, novel algorithm named sine-cosine (SCA) utilized solve problem considering both dependent independent control constraints. SCA tested validated on standard 14, 30 57-bus systems. To validate superiority proposed algorithm, outcomes obtained through are compared with recent published results attained particle swarm optimization (PSO), modified Gaussian barebones teaching–learning based (BBTLBO), ant bee colony (ABCO), whale (WOA) backtracking search (BSA). The using show improvement in losses minimization. Thus, 14-bus system, minimized from 0.04% 4.78%. While, 30-bus, 0.4% 3.4% 57-bus, reduced 0.9% 1.99%. Furthermore, comparative analysis runs above-mentioned bus systems performed examine functioning method terms probability density function (PDF) cumulative (CDF). For such analysis, well-known as PSO, WOA, differential evolution (DE) solving problem. clearly that robust, effective, computationally easy existing algorithms.

Solution of Multi-Objective optimal reactive power dispatch using pareto optimality particle swarm optimization method
For multi-objective optimal reactive power dispatch (MORPD), a new approach is proposed where simultaneous minimization of the active power transmission loss, the bus voltage deviation and the voltage stability index of a power system are achieved. Optimal settings of continuous and discrete control variables (e.g. generator voltages, tap positions of tap changing transformers and the number of...
